Job summary

Solenis LLC is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor I to oversee daily laboratory operations in support of chemical manufacturing. The role manages laboratory personnel, coordinates testing, and ensures compliance with ISO standards, safety policies, and quality documentation.

You'll lead a 24/7 laboratory team, calibrate equipment, participate in audits, and drive continuous improvement while promoting a strong safety culture across the site in Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of quality experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Experience working within an ISO-certified quality system.
• Prior supervisory or management experience.
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, analytical methods, and testing procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Quality Control laboratory operations in support of manufacturing activities.
• Supervise, train, and develop laboratory technicians for a 24/7 operation.
• Coordinate testing for production support, raw materials, investigations, customer complaints, projects, and supplier qualifications.
• Ensure ISO 9001 compliance, laboratory procedures, record retention, and quality documentation programs.
• Manage laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and analytical testing activities.
• Support internal and external audits, certifications, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site safety and environmental requirements.
