Job summary

McGough is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead QA/QC on high-profile construction projects. You will implement the QA/QC program, oversee inspections, manage subcontractor testing, and ensure adherence to contracts and standards.

The role requires deep experience in construction quality systems, capability with Procore and Bluebeam, and a proactive leadership approach to drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery on site near Bismarck, ND with regional travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction field leadership roles (Quality Control, Superintendent or Project Manager).
• 5 years leading teams, coaching and developing fellow team members.
• Strong knowledge of building constructability in all definable features of work.
• Management of subcontracted testing firms and scope buyout for those sections.
• Experience with construction-related software including Bluebeam, Microsoft Office & Procore.
• Completion of the Construction Quality Management (CQM) within the last five (5) year, or the ability and willingness to obtain the CQM certification within 90 days of onboarding.
• OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Create & implement the QA/QC management system at site utilizing contracting office requirements.
• Define and establish quality procedures, standards, and specifications as required.
• Review contract requirements and ensure they are being met.
• Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues.
• Coordinate and chair QA/QC site weekly meetings with subcontractors.
• Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site trade partners and ensure quality requirements are being met.
• Coordinate with quality inspections with all site trade partners and vendors.
• Coordinate all nondestructive testing on site.
• Coordinate all factory and on-site testing.
• Coordinate all receipt inspections and deliveries.
• Perform and document mockup, first work inspections, and follow-up inspections.
