Job summary

McGough Construction CO, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead QA/QC programs on projects in North Dakota. You will oversee quality assurance, coordinate with site teams, and ensure compliance with codes and specifications across exterior assemblies such as waterproofing and curtain wall systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction field leadership roles such as Quality Control, Superintendent or Project Manager
• Experience leading teams and coaching fellow team members; manage subcontracted testing firms and scope buyout for those sections
• Completion of the Construction Quality Management (CQM) within the last five years, or the ability to obtain the CQM certification within 90 days of onboarding; OSHA 30 preferred

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance/Quality Control Program Management: Create & implement the QA/QC management system at site utilizing contracting office requirements; Define and establish quality procedures, standards, and specifications as required
• Inspection & Testing Oversight: Coordinate with quality inspections with all site trade partners; coordinate nondestructive testing onsite; coordinate all factory and on-site testing
• Preconstruction & Submittal Review: Perform preinstallation meetings; review and approve all incoming submittals; review drawings and specs; maintain QA/QC documents
• Field Quality Control & Documentation: Update as-built drawings; ensure QA/QC docs are compiled for handover; manage three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up)
• Code & Regulatory Compliance: Learn building codes; ensure regulations followed by all participants; coordinate with teams on engineering principles
• Investigation & Problem-Solving: Perform site reviews; develop investigation reports; provide recommendations
• Environmental & Sustainability Reporting: Manage subcontractor responsibilities relating to environmental reporting (LEC, EPDs)
• Other Duties: Participate in McGough Advanced Technology and QA/QC teams; collaborate with stakeholders; build relationships
