Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Quality Control Lead to supervise testing of raw materials, in-process components, and final products in an industrial setting. The role requires leading a small team and coordinating with state agencies and industry bodies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and quality control experience; ACI/PCI certification is preferred or must be obtained within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Quality control experience in related industry required.
• ACI/PCI Certification preferred, or must pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months and maintain certification.
• Basic computer and tablet skills.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate with team members.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically.
• Some travel required for trainings and certifications (less than 10%).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens
• Monitor production operations as required
• Pipe patching and assisting pipe crew when necessary with strip, setup, and pouring of products
• Report to management team on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns
• Oversee a small team of individuals
• Responsible for receiving and filing raw material reports for documentation
• Contact for State DOT agencies, ACI, NPCA
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
