Job description

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Position Type: 12-month contract

Position Term: Hybrid

As a Quality Assurance Specialist contractor, you will write the automated test strategy, plan and scripts, and schedule the tests for execution for each application. Responsibilities will also include monitoring, measuring, controlling, and reporting on testing progress, product quality status, and test results, adapting the test plan as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in establishing automated testing solutions.
• Design, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices, system test plans, system test scenarios, regression test plans, and test scripts (both manual and automated) based on software requirements and technical specifications.
• Construct workflow charts and diagrams; study system capabilities; write and refine regression test plans; document and report test results.
• Assist with the analysis of the results of automated test scripts.
• Assist with the analysis of bug fixes/issues, leading small groups of IT and business staff for troubleshooting, problem resolution, and brainstorming for available solutions.
• Lead and participate in system testing and ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements prior to user acceptance testing.
• Participate in defining system implementation and user-acceptance test plans.
• Work closely with QA Manager and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Demonstrate exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

Skills

• 6+ years of QA testing experience with industry standard quality assurance methodologies, verification, and validation processes (Required).
• 3+ years of business process analysis hands-on experience with test automation development in industry test automation framework (Selenium preferred) (Required).
• Hands-on experience in test automation design and development involving GUI, API, and back-end database verification (Required).
• Experience with Continuous Integration testing tools (Required).
• Experience with automated mobile testing utilizing cloud-based solutions (Required).
• 4-year college degree in computer information systems or equivalent technical (Required).
