Pearson is hiring a Lead Specialist, Technical Architect (Quality) for ExamDeveloper. The role focuses on domain-level quality leadership, automation architecture, and mentoring a distributed QA organization across agile teams.

You will shape quality strategy, drive robust test coverage, and oversee complex reliability challenges, while coordinating with product and engineering leadership across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional quality engineering, software testing, or test automation experience.
• 3+ years operating as a domain-level quality expert or SME across complex, distributed platforms.
• Demonstrated influence on quality practices, automation frameworks, or standards adopted across multiple teams.
• Deep experience with test automation strategy, tooling, and quality improvement.
• Experience operating in large product environments with multiple Agile teams, distributed QA teams, and high volumes of testing and release-readiness decisions.

Responsibilities

• Quality strategy and direction for ExamDeveloper quality system and release confidence across the domain.
• Partner with Product Architect and Engineering leadership to determine long-term automation and quality strategy.
• Drive improvements to testing efficiency, automation, and data-driven quality decisions.
• Establish quality metrics for automation health, test reliability, and defect leakage.
• Serve as domain SME on quality, automation approaches, and critical test scenarios.
• Develop and maintain robust test coverage across domain applications areas.
• Lead complex root-cause analysis and reliability challenges.
• Stay current on automation tooling, AI-assisted testing, and best practices.
