Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist, Technical Architect (Quality) for ExamDeveloper to lead the domain quality program and automation strategy. You will shape testing approaches, mentor engineers, and provide technical QA leadership across agile teams in a distributed environment.

The role focuses on reliability, release confidence, and scalable quality practices, enabling secure, high-volume exam development workflows within Pearson's Assessment & Qualifications group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, IS, or equivalent; 8+ years in quality engineering.
• 3+ years as domain-level quality expert across distributed platforms.
• Influence on automation frameworks, standards adopted across teams.
• Deep experience with test automation strategy and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for ExamDeveloper quality system, including processes, automation, tooling, training, metrics, gates, and release confidence.
• Partner with Product Architect and Engineering leadership to determine long-term automation and quality strategy.
• Evaluate processes, tools, data, and people practices; drive improvements for automated, efficient testing.
• Establish quality metrics to inform decision-making (automation health, test reliability, defect leakage, release readiness).
• Mentor and coach senior quality engineers; review QA work and artifacts for maintainability and quality.
