Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks an experienced QA Engineer Lead – Guideware to design and execute testing for Guidewire-based applications. You will lead QA strategy, test planning, execution, defect management, and release governance across projects in the U.S., with emphasis on Guidewire products and automation tools.

You will mentor teams, coordinate testing activities, and ensure high-quality results through both automated and manual testing while collaborating with stakeholders and business partners.

Qualifications

• 15 years of QA automation and software testing experience with leadership in QA strategy, test planning, execution, defect management, and release governance.
• Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter automation including GT-UI Framework.
• Experience with test automation tools: Playwright, WebDriverIO, Selenium, and Cucumber BDD.
• API and performance testing using Postman, Karate, and JMeter.
• CI/CD practices and tools: Jenkins, GitLab, and automated testing integration.
• Core testing skills: designing and executing tests, creating test cases, environment and data planning, automated/manual execution.
• Business domain knowledge for designing optimized test scenarios.
• Experience analyzing test outcomes for process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design Optimized Test Scenarios: Create test cases and identify test environment and test data requirements to ensure thorough testing of applications and systems.
• Plan Testing Activities: Estimate work efforts, prioritize testing tasks, and coordinate testing activities to meet project timelines and objectives.
• Execute Test Cases: Use automation and manual methods to execute test cases, report test status, and address defects to ensure high-quality results.
• Analyze Test Outcomes: Evaluate test results to identify areas for continuous improvement and optimize testing processes.
• Report Test Status: Provide regular updates on testing progress, defects, and test outcomes to stakeholders.
