Job summary

Weekday is seeking a detail-oriented Guidewire QA Engineer for a client project, working remotely from the United States. The role requires 5+ years in software testing with hands-on Guidewire InsuranceSuite experience, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.

You will plan and execute tests, validate configurations and business rules, and collaborate with developers, BAs, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality insurance technology solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience testing Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications.
• Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing, functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
• Experience with API testing and validation of application integrations.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and testing.
• Experience using defect management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ALM.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Test planning and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Guidewire applications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing.
• Validate Guidewire configurations, business rules, workflows, and application functionality.
• Test end-to-end business processes across Guidewire modules.
• Verify data accuracy and consistency across components and integrations.
• Identify issues affecting functionality, usability, and reliability; collaborate with teams to resolve them.
• Support testing activities throughout Guidewire implementations and releases.
