Job summary

Excella is seeking a Lead Consultant to deliver high‑quality software solutions and provide technical leadership to teams working with clients across commercial and government sectors.

You will mentor engineers, drive project execution in an Agile environment, collaborate with stakeholders to align technology with business goals, and advocate adoption of emerging technologies to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong technical foundation.
• Expertise in Python and Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Strong knowledge in object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, and testing strategies.
• Strong knowledge of database design, ORMs like SQLAlchemy or Django, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge in implementing secure programming practices.
• Proficiency in Git-based workflows and software development lifecycle management.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring developers in a consulting or technical environment.
