Expedition Technology (EXP) seeks a Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead to own end-to-end system design for mission-critical US government projects. You will shape architecture, write robust code in Python, and drive reliable deployment and observability.

This role requires security clearance and citizenship; you will lead cross-functional teams, build CI/CD pipelines, containerized apps in Kubernetes, and ensure resilience and performance in cloud environments such as AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering production software systems and strong software fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable software systems and internal tools using Python.
• Lead architectural decisions across app, deployment, infra, and ops.
• Design for maintainability, security, resiliency, and observability.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Deploy cloud-native apps in Kubernetes environments.
• Establish testing, monitoring, and reliability best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot cross-environment issues and mentor engineers.
