Job summary

Excella is seeking a seasoned Lead Data Analyst who will deliver high-quality data analysis, mentor junior analysts, and drive data-driven decision-making across client engagements. You will ensure data integrity, optimize data models, and support cross-functional teams with critical insights.

The role requires leading dashboards and reports, collaborating with data engineers and scientists to improve pipelines, and communicating insights to executives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data analysis or related fields.
• Expert SQL skills, including query optimization and data transformation.
• Extensive experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong understanding of cloud analytics products such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
• Proven experience applying statistical techniques to drive business insights.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage ambiguity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior analysts.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and backlog management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
• Ability to develop and present executive-level data reports and recommendations.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis is a plus.

• Drive the adoption of new data analysis tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to improve data pipelines and accessibility.
• Communicate complex data insights to executive stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Lead Agile data analysis initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
