Job summary

JPMorganChase, within Infrastructure Platforms, seeks a Lead Software Engineer in Columbus to drive design, development, and secure, scalable software solutions. You will contribute as a core technical thinker, delivering production code and guiding AI-assisted development practices.

You will lead evaluations with vendors, promote best practices across the team, and help ensure operational stability and compliant delivery in a fast-paced, regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Strong experience with Python, Django, JavaScript and SQL.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve automation and value.
