Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of experience.
Experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability.
Experience designing, developing, and operating ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, SQL, and distributed data-processing technologies.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts: dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, SCDs, partitioning, query optimization.
Experience developing production data solutions with Databricks, Apache Spark or PySpark, Delta Lake, Lakeflow pipelines, and lakehouse architecture.
Knowledge of data governance, lineage, access controls, schema management, data quality, and production monitoring.
Experience integrating data from relational databases, APIs, files, message streams, and cloud storage platforms.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database query languages.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, resiliency and security expectations.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, resiliency, and secure software development principles.

Responsibilities

Execute software solutions through design, development, and troubleshooting of components.
Develop secure and high-quality production code; review and debug code.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
Apply knowledge of SDLC tooling to improve automation value.
Identify opportunities to automate remediation and improve stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess designs and fit.
