LEAD PURCHASING SUPPORT SPECIALIST

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic detail-oriented, experienced Purchasing Support Specialist. You will be responsible for participating in the procurement process and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a background in pharmacy purchasing and inventory control.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely and report directly to the Purchasing Manager.
  • Assist in determining purchasing needs and requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Assist in the procurement process from creating purchase orders to receiving deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Receive incoming products, confirming no damage, good dating, and accurate quantities.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and preferred vendor compliance.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Healthcare / Pharmacy purchasing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and procedures
  • Knowledge using software QS1 preferred not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job :

  • May sit or stand five (5) to eight (8) hours per day.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
  • May be necessary to work extended hours rotating weekends as needed.
  • Able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY

  • Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
  • Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.
  • Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
