Spherion is seeking a Remote Administrative Program Support Specialist to provide critical administrative and program coordination to two key state bureaus : the Bureau of Programs and Policy (BPP) and the Bureau of Quality and Oversight (BQO). ...

This fully remote, long-term contract position offers 4 weeks of paid time off per year and the opportunity to be part of a high-impact public service team - all from the comfort of your Wisconsin-based home.

As a central hub of support for leadership and staff across BPP and BQO, you'll coordinate daily operations, support policy implementation, streamline communication, and manage key logistics. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of internal processes, IT systems, document management, and stakeholder relations.

You'll work independently and collaboratively, taking initiative on complex tasks and helping the organization work smarter, not harder.

Responsibilities :

Program & Administrative Support (50%)

  • Serve as a liaison for internal and external inquiries; draft and review correspondence
  • Organize virtual and in-person meetings; manage agendas, logistics, and follow-ups
  • Format, proof, and distribute professional communications
  • Arrange travel and review contracts with hotels or vendors
  • Support procurement, contracting, and distribution of priority documents
  • Manage IT requests, equipment tracking, and system access
  • Coordinate digital communications and internal / external web content
  • Maintain SharePoint and tech inventory; create surveys and visual materials

Policy, Procedure & Records Management (20%)

  • Develop standard operating procedures and administrative forms
  • Organize and maintain filing systems and electronic directories
  • Assist with policy updates, data tracking, and documentation compliance

Confidential Administrative Support (10%)

  • Support onboarding, office logistics, and confidential document management
  • Maintain calendars, assist with scheduling, and act as a backup to other admin staff
  • Lead or assist with special projects in Long-Term Care programs

Qualifications :

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and virtual meeting platforms
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Experience supporting complex teams or governmental programs is a plus
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin's human services or long-term care systems is desirable
