Qualifications

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth or equivalent Federal title).
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in treating inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.

Responsibilities

• Direct psychological services for inmate well-being and staff performance at SCI Somerset.
• Lead staff, supervise, and ensure consistent delivery of mental health services.
• Oversee programs, develop procedures, and support integration of new practices.
• Lead institutional committees focused on reception, crisis response, and mental health reviews.
• Establish staff competencies, review testing, and ensure accuracy of reports.
• Advise staff on treatment matters and guide case management decisions.
• Maintain accreditation standards and provide expert testimony when required.
