Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Propulsion Technician to join the Aeon‑R engine team on the front line of assembly and testing of engine components, sub‑assemblies and engines.

You will support in‑house processes such as precision cleaning, hydrostatic proof testing, flow testing, component assembly and engine assembly, with a 50‑hour week (Mon–Fri, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT) and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working on engines, with a focus on engine components.
• Familiarity with architecture of a Gas Generator cycle engine and associated nomenclature.
• Experience with high‑pressure fluid system development and testing (hydrostatic proof, flow testing).
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical system integration and diagnostics.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Strong technical and interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• On the front line of assembly and testing of Aeon‑R engine components, sub‑assemblies and engines.
• Support in‑house processes such as precision cleaning, hydrostatic proof testing and flow testing.
• Assist with component assembly and engine assembly to build robust processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve manufacturing methods and safety.
