Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Systems Engineer - Control Systems Analysis in California or Huntsville to model and analyze propulsion control for solid rocket technologies. You will engage in dynamic modeling, software integration, and cross-functional coordination.

The role requires substantial experience in control systems, MATLAB/Simulink, and C/C++ with a path toward mentoring junior engineers. A US Secret clearance is preferred, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of Systems Engineer/Analysis experience; or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years; or in lieu of a degree, 13 years of experience.
• 3 years control system analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and simulation of propulsion systems; dynamic control algorithm development.
• Actuation system modeling and analysis.
• Steady state and transient performance modeling and analysis.
• Modeling in Matlab/Simulink and C/C++.
• Support development of propulsion hardware and software requirements; coordinate derivation of internal requirements.
• Assist propulsion system testing; develop test plans/procedures; pre-test predictions; integrate test support equipment; create test software.
