Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Mechanical Engineering in Sacramento, CA. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with 9+ years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of related experience.
• Strong experience with solid propulsion design and manufacturing methods.
• Proficient CAD design and 3D modeling for aerospace components.
• Ability to work in an IPT environment with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, 3D models and detailed drawings for manufacture.
• Lead components and system design for solid propulsion systems.
• Plan and execute complex design tasks within an IPT framework.
• Support shop floor production and supplier interactions to meet requirements.
• Prepare engineering reports and tolerance studies for reviews.
• Travel up to 25% and support risk reduction activities.
