Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to own propulsion subsystems end-to-end from concept through on-orbit operation. You will design, analyze, test, and document fluid systems and valves, collaborating with cross-functional teams for reliable, high-volume production.

The role requires experience with space-grade hardware qualification, DFMA practices, and strong Python/MATLAB data analysis skills, based in Redmond, WA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Experience with qualification testing of space-grade hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Own propulsion subsystems lifecycle from concept to on-orbit performance.
  • Perform first-principles analysis to drive design decisions.
  • Design pressurized fluid components and manifold systems with clear documentation.
  • Plan and execute fluid system tests and environmental qualification.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
