Job summary
Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is seeking a Senior Propulsion Development Engineer (Fluids) to own in-house propulsion system design, analysis, implementation and operation for high-performance spacecraft.
The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or science, 5+ years in aerospace propulsion, hands-on experience with liquid rocket propulsion hardware and flow control, plus strong collaboration across engineering, manufacturing and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
- 5+ years in aerospace propulsion field.
- Experience with liquid rocket propulsion hardware and flow control.
- Hands-on experience with fluids, thermodynamics, and materials.
Responsibilities
- Own all aspects of storable, liquid propellant system development.
- Architect and layout fluids systems for high delta-V propulsion.
- Conduct analysis and testing to meet hardware intent.
- Plan and execute propellant and pressurization tests.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and operations teams.
- Resolve technical issues with innovative solutions.
- Lead technical projects and/or small engineering teams.
