Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach, CA seeks a Senior Propulsion Development Engineer (Fluids) to own the design, analysis, implementation and operation of in-house propulsion systems for high-performance spacecraft. You will contribute to on-orbit and lander programs, collaborating with a fast-paced team to deliver reliable hardware with robust fluid systems.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 5+ years in aerospace propulsion, and hands-on fluids, thermodynamics and testing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science required.
• 5+ years in aerospace propulsion with liquid propellant experience.
• Hands-on experience with fluids, thermal-fluid analyses and materials.
• Ability to own projects and work with small cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of a storable, liquid propellant system development.
• Architect and layout fluids systems on a high delta-V propulsion system.
• Conduct analysis and testing to ensure hardware performance.
• Prepare, plan and execute tests including propellant and pressurization testing.
• Work with engineering, manufacturing and operations teams to deliver a reliable system.
• Resolve technical issues with innovative solutions.
• Lead technical projects and/or a small team of engineers.
