Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Project Engineer with a strong engines background to support an exciting new engine development program. You will organize and manage an interdisciplinary team to develop and deliver engine module requirements, designs, analyses, and hardware for test and certification.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)
• Direct experience with design, development and certification of gas turbine engines or propulsion systems
• At least 10 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Estimate, plan and execute complex work packages in support of new product development programs.
• Lead large, cross-functional teams through all aspects of design, analysis, requirements management, hardware, and test.
• As a requirements owner, interface with systems engineers and product engineers to develop, validate and manage technical requirements.
• Partner with advanced technology to ensure relevant programs are aligned with program needs
• Lead in-house manufacturing and supplier engagement activities, working with supply chain, manufacturing engineering and suppliers to ensure hardware is producible, meets cost objectives and supports the program technical and schedule objectives.
• Coordinate with test teams to support development and certification engine tests.
• Manage cost accounts, analyze budgets, provide forecasts and track earned value
• Develop and manage schedules and milestones. Drive Agile program planning and execution
• Identify, characterize and develop plans to manage risks and realize opportunities
