Job summary

Keener Group seeks a proactive Lead Maintenance Technician to maintain the property’s physical integrity and safety for residents and staff. The role involves overseeing maintenance tasks, budgeting, and coordinating with the Community Manager to meet NOI targets while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position requires hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety standards, plus a minimum of three years in property maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• EPA certification and CPO license are required; CAMT certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; ability to repair/maintain building equipment.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in property maintenance or equivalent field.
• Must be able to operate small hand and power tools and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks personally or oversee staff; document tasks and inventory.
• Assist Community Manager in budgeting and ensuring NOI objectives are met.
• Maintain maintenance records in property management software and logs.
• Schedule and supervise preventive maintenance and emergency repairs 24/7 as needed.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, Fair Housing) across all activities.
• Promote resident satisfaction through timely and quality service.
