Job summary

Keener is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to support the Lead Maintenance Technician in maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment for residents and staff. The role involves executing assigned duties safely, following Keener policies, and assisting with a range of preventive maintenance activities across the community.

Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems is preferred, with at least 1 year of property maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Must attain a minimum of 70% on the Service Technician Qualification Test.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property maintenance or equivalent field.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, appliances, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, pool systems, drywall, painting and HVAC.
• Ability to operate small hand tools and power tools.
• Must be able to use voltmeters, am probes, hand saws, saber saws, drills, and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and process work orders on community buildings and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain tools in good condition and report any safety hazards.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests with focus on safety and quality.
