Job summary

Blanton Turner is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Seattle to oversee building operations and lead maintenance and custodial staff. You will manage daily upkeep, unit turns, safety, and quality control while collaborating with the Property Manager and residents.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in building operations, HVAC troubleshooting experience, and the ability to coordinate with vendors. Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in building operations and maintenance.
• Experience leading a maintenance team.
• Experience diagnosing/troubleshooting HVAC systems.
• Ability to read blueprints/CAD drawings preferred.
• Must be able to lift 90 lbs.
• Boiler license preferred.
• Electrical license/certificate preferred.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate respectfully and effectively with co-workers, vendors and the public.
• Must be flexible and able to work well under time constraints.
• Lead maintenance and custodial staff, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance reviews.
• Develop, implement and manage maintenance budget.
• Perform maintenance and repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing and related trades.
• Establish preventive maintenance plans and maintain logs.
• Coordinate with vendors and service contractors and address ongoing concerns.
• Be available for after-hours emergencies and ensure safety.
