Job summary

Phillips Infrastructure in Richmond, VA is seeking a Project Superintendent to oversee on-site management of deep foundations projects. You will coordinate with multiple contractors to ensure the project meets schedule, budget and design specifications, while engaging with clients and AE representatives.

The role requires strong leadership in planning, supervision of on-site functions, and adherence to safety programs, with 100% travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training/experience.
• Minimum of ten years of construction management and/or craft supervision in deep foundations.
• Extensive knowledge of deep foundations, drilled shafts, and drilling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise total construction effort to meet design, budget and schedule, interfacing with client and AE representatives.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control).
• Supervise craft employees and contractors as required by the contract.
• Authorize project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions and field design changes.
• Provide technical assistance by interpreting drawings and recommending methods/equipment.
• Develop and implement project procedures, working documents and standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety program requirements and document violations, implementing corrective actions.
• Assume responsibility for productivity, material/equipment use, and contractual performance.
• Drilling using multiple techniques (top can, polymer, casing).
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
