Job summary

Merus seeks an experienced Project Superintendent to lead field operations on complex construction projects. You will oversee jobsite safety, scheduling, quality control, subcontractor coordination, site logistics, and workforce management to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant commercial construction experience.
• Experience managing industrial projects (50,000–500,000 sq ft) preferred.
• Experience with commercial, multi-family, and mixed-use construction projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule subcontractor activities and four-week look-ahead schedules.
• Lead daily field operations to meet safety, schedule, and quality goals.
• Develop and manage project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate sequencing and field activities to maximize productivity.
• Document daily activities, progress, and field issues.
• Review budgets, scopes, and subcontractor responsibilities.
• Enforce safety policies and field safety requirements.
• Direct field labor efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Communicate progress and issues with project management.
