In this role, you will lead a project team to implement client HCM projects by planning, organizing, controlling, and deploying key milestones, deliverables, and resources according to client and business goals. You will use specific templates and techniques to manage through the preferred project life cycle to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes and budgets.
The nature of what you do every day will not change -- your #1 goal is to lead the project team to successfully implement clients on HCM products and services. Still, every day will be different because the questions you receive will vary, as will the solutions you provide each client.
To thrive in this role, you have a way with clients and project team members that builds rapport, establishes trust, and shines with professionalism. You will manage the project team and all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
Responsibilities
- Be a True Partner. Manage large project teams responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of projects to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes and budgets. Develop strong partnerships and working relationships at all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
- Collaborate and Connect. Identify cross‑functional resources critical to project objectives and build diverse collaborative teams to drive business success. Lead and influence initiatives and projects to provide strategic insights which enable efficient execution of project deliverables and milestones, including managing the full life cycle of projects.
- Think Like a Client, Act Like an Owner. Provide analysis and status reports of the project, including business case, ROI, and post‑project review. Assess, manage, resolve, and elevate risks and issues.
- Create and Innovate. Champion best practices and process improvement. Provide recommendations and suggest best practices to create an exceptional client implementation experience. Use critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to approach new situations.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of project management experience and/or continuous improvement experience.
- Prior work experience leading medium to large cross‑functional and/or multi‑year projects from concept to delivery.
- Strong knowledge of project management processes, tools, and structured methodologies.
- Guides and inspires others in a consultative approach and drives collaboration and client focus with the project team and internal partners.
- Communicates effectively, both verbal and written.
- Manages multiple and changing priorities (flexibility/adaptability).
- Demonstrates learning agility and critical thinking skills and applies basic concepts in new situations.
- Works and thrives independently and in a collaborative environment; partners, collaborates, and works in a team (and matrixed) environment.
- Coaches, trains, and mentors other team members with less experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry expertise in each client solution and application of best practices through in‑depth client consultation.
- Ability to maintain focus and work effectively with multiple demands.
- Initiative to seek out answers, solutions, and positive outcomes.
- Process‑oriented with a high attention to detail.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite and experience with Financial Force, Anaplan, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Experience in the Human Capital Management (HCM) Industry and/or knowledge and understanding of payroll.
- Certification such as PMP, PgMP, PHR, SPHR, CCP, CBP, HCS, or other highly recognized professional certifications.

Salary & Compensation
Base salary offers for this position may vary based on location, skills, and experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. Pay range: $71,600.00 – $145,200.00 per year.
