Adams Contracting, LLC, based in Lexington, KY, seeks an experienced Project Manager for heavy and highway construction. You will oversee all phases from planning to completion, managing client relations, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver on time, within scope and budget.

The role focuses on safety, quality, and project execution across the Southeast, coordinating with DOTs, COE, and municipalities to ensure compliance and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Civil Eng, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years managing heavy/highway construction projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with regulations relevant to highway construction.
• Experience with bridges, highways, underground utilities, large-scale earthworks.
• Expertise in developing and monitoring construction schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all project phases from pre-construction to completion.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and procurement.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, and cost control.
• Lead on-site teams including engineers and subcontractors.
• Maintain client and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with specs.
• Collaborate with estimators to support bidding.
• Coordinate equipment usage and maintenance.
