Job summary

Adams Contracting, LLC is seeking a Project Superintendent in Tennessee to oversee heavy/highway and civil construction sites across Tennessee and Kentucky. You will lead on-site teams, manage subcontractors, ensure schedules, safety, and quality, and report to the Project Manager.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of supervisory experience, proficiency in interpreting plans from survey stakes, and the ability to operate equipment on-site.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of experience supervising heavy/highway construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage on-site operations effectively.
• Competence in interpreting plans, specifications, and layouts from surveyor's stakes.
• Experience operating construction equipment required, with on-site operation as needed.
• Familiarity with DOT, COE, and regulatory requirements is desirable.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Project Management: supervise all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and plans.
• Quality Assurance & Safety: enforce safety protocols and conduct site inspections.
• Equipment Operation & Oversight: operate equipment as needed and coordinate availability.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: lead on-site teams and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
• Resource Management: manage labor, materials, and equipment efficiently.
• Documentation & Reporting: maintain on-site documentation and submit reports to the Project Manager.
• Client & Stakeholder Interaction: serve as the primary on-site contact for clients.
