Job summary

LPX Group in Louisville, KY is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy civil, site development, commercial building, and general contracting projects from inception through completion.

The role requires coordinating multiple scopes, developing and maintaining master project schedules, reviewing plans, and preparing quantity takeoffs while driving collaboration among clients, subcontractors, and field personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of construction management experience with a general contractor.
• Experience leading projects as PM/Asst PM/Superintendent.
• Estimating experience is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts and costs.
• Proficient in MS Office, Primavera, Vista, and Procore.

• Drive project vision in collaboration with clients, leadership, team, subs and stakeholders.
• Leads and motivates project team to achieve goals.
• Communicates project expectations, constraints, schedules and objectives.
• Maintains professionalism with clients, subs, employees and partners.
• Oversee heavy civil, site development, commercial building and GC projects from start to finish.
• Develops and maintains master project schedules and updates subs, owners and field personnel.
• Reviews plans and specs to identify scopes and prepare quantity takeoffs.
• Develops subcontractor requirements and supplier scopes for review with management.
• Coordinates multiple scopes of work (sitework, utilities, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
• Reviews submittals for compliance with drawings and specs.
• Performs cost analyses for methods and alternatives.
• Develops three-week look-ahead schedules with field supervision.
• Monitors projects for compliance with policies, contracts, and regulations.
• Oversee purchasing to ensure quality materials delivered on time at competitive costs.
• Manages change-order documentation and approvals.
• Coordinates with engineers, inspectors, clients, owners’ reps, subs and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Reviews field activities and provides support to stay on schedule and budget.
• Coordinates with superintendents and subs to meet plans, specs, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Administers project policies to subs.
• Controls and tracks project costs to maintain profitability.
• Prepares monthly cost-to-complete reports for leadership and ownership.
• Maintains positive project cash flow and monthly sales projections.
• Conducts regular project inspections and evaluates progress and quality.
• Maintains knowledge of construction methods across disciplines.
• Supports safety initiatives and assists field supervision.
