Job summary

Kokosing Construction is seeking a Project Manager for heavy highway and bridge projects in the Richmond region of Virginia. The role directs multi-disciplinary teams to drive projects from planning to execution, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Candidates should hold a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include planning, staffing, budgeting, and coordinating with agencies and subcontractors to meet program

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related degree and 10+ years related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination) is preferred.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of heavy highway/bridge construction projects.
• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine the time frame, funding limitations, project procedures, staffing requirements, and available resources to various phases of project.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project - arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Coordinates project activities with activities of governmental agencies and subcontractors.
• Understands and is able to analyze and execute CPM-based project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of heavy highway/bridge construction projects.
• Ensures goals are accomplished within time frame and funding parameters.
• Manages Project Engineers, Superintendents and Foremen.
• Reviews status reports and adjusts schedules as needed.
• Prepares project reports for management and clients.
• Coordinates with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
