Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems is expanding its Project Management team across Parcel and D&F business segments. As a Project Manager, you’ll lead complex material handling and automation projects for world-renowned brands, guiding the full lifecycle from kickoff to completion.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, budgets, and schedules, build trusted client relationships, and ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery while delivering outstanding customer experiences. Travel ≈25%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PM experience in material handling, automation, or related industries.
• Led complex cross-functional projects from planning to completion.
• Experience managing projects valued around $30M+ with 10–15+ contributors.
• Strong financial acumen: budgets, forecasting, cash flow, project performance.
• PMP certification or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent communication with customers, executives, field teams.
• Trustworthy, collaborative, solutions-focused; adaptable in fast-paced env.
• Willing to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Own the success of complex automation projects from kickoff to closeout, on time, in budget, with great customer experience.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, controls, procurement, installation, and finance.
• Build and maintain project schedules using MS Project, manage scope and milestones.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, building trusted relationships through proactive communication.
• Define project requirements with customers and internal teams; translate technical info into plans.
• Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
• Own project budgets, forecasting, cash flow, change orders, billing performance.
• Ensure resources are aligned at the right time and foster collaboration.
• Balance customer expectations, team priorities, safety, quality, and business goals.
