Job description

DCS is continuing to grow, and we're expanding our Project Management team across both our Parcel and Distribution & Fulfillment (D&F) business segments. As a Project Manager, you'll lead complex material handling and automation projects for some of the world's most recognized brands, serving as a trusted partner to both customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced, collaborative environments and enjoys balancing customer relationships, project execution, financial management, and team leadership. Throughout the interview process, we'll take the time to understand your project experience, technical background, leadership style, and long‑term interests so we can thoughtfully align you with the right team, customers, and project portfolio.

At DCS, our Project Managers are trusted leaders who help bring complex customer solutions to life. You'll lead projects from kickoff through completion while driving communication, accountability, problem‑solving, and successful project delivery. If you're energized by leading cross‑functional teams and delivering impactful automation solutions, we'd love to meet you.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the success of complex automation projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and with an exceptional customer experience.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams by creating clarity around priorities, accountability, communication, and execution across engineering, controls, procurement, installation, commissioning, finance, and field teams.
  • Build and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project, managing scope, critical path, resources, and key milestones to keep projects moving forward.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your customers, building trusted relationships through proactive communication, transparency, and problem‑solving.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define project requirements, align expectations, and translate technical information into clear, actionable plans.
  • Identify risks before they become problems, developing mitigation strategies and driving solutions that keep projects on track.
  • Own the financial health of your projects, including budgets, forecasting, cash flow, change orders, and billing performance.
  • Partner across the business to ensure the right resources are aligned at the right time while fostering collaboration and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Champion successful project execution by balancing customer expectations, team priorities, safety, quality, and business objectives every step of the way.

We’re Excited About You Because:

  • You have 5+ years of Project Management experience within material handling, automation, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or a related industry.
  • You have successfully led complex, cross‑functional projects from planning through completion.
  • You have experience managing projects valued at approximately $30M or greater while coordinating teams of 10-15 or more contributors.
  • You have strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and project performance.
  • You have earned your PMP certification or are willing to obtain it within six months of joining DCS.
  • You have strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • You communicate confidently with customers, executives, field teams, and technical stakeholders alike.
  • You build trust through accountability, collaboration, and a solutions‑oriented mindset.
  • You thrive in fast‑paced environments where priorities shift and every day brings a new challenge.
  • You enjoy leading teams, solving complex problems, and helping customers achieve successful project outcomes.
  • You are comfortable translating technical concepts for non‑technical audiences and bringing diverse teams together around a common goal.
  • You are willing to travel approximately 25% to support your projects and customers.
