Title: Lead Project Manager
Position Description
- Manages and provides construction oversight to onsite construction team
- Resolves complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements
- Develop, assign, and monitor performance of construction managers relative to assigned construction projects
- Reviews status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedules
- Review change orders from all construction projects and assess their impact to the Owner
- Assists executives and other management staff with bid and contract planning
- Assess bid specifications for Owner's needs and probability of completion under stated timeline
- Reviews status and monitors variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting
- Reviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and perform overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects
- Provides functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control
- Reviews and monitors overall administration of contracts for the architect and related consultants
- Coordinates program activities with other organizational branches and departments
- Reviews and resolves disputes related to construction projects
- Develop and recommend internal policies and procedures
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Professional Experience Level/Other Quali Cations
- Twenty (20) to Twentyfive (25) years of full-time paid professional project and construction management experience
- Ten (10) to Twenty (20) years of experience managing large programs with projects having construction values of more than $50 million (not cumulative)
- Five (5) years of experience in large facility construction, public works, or large commercial projects
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Design Build Experience
- Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
- Experience with regulartory compliance for construction and design processes
Preferred Licenses And Certificates
- A valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) by the California State Board
- A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board
- A valid credential for a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)
Compensation
- This role is salaried/exempt with a base annual salary range of $165,500.00 - $210,000.00 and commensurate with skill, education, experience, and work location.
- This role is bonus eligible after 6 months of employment.
