Job summary

North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is seeking a Project Engineer to manage design and construction of major capital projects in water and wastewater. You will lead interdisciplinary teams, coordinate with Operations, and drive projects from conception through startup with strong emphasis on quality, schedule and cost control.

The role requires a Texas PE license (or eligibility with a six-month timeline) and 5+ years of progressive project-management experience in water/wastewater

Qualifications

Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Texas Professional Engineer license or able to obtain Texas PE within 6 months from hire.
Minimum progressive project-management experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Manage design, procurement, construction and startup of capital improvement projects.
Lead design and construction of major water and wastewater facilities; ensure conformance with NTMWD standards.
Maintain project records, meetings, submittals, RFIs and change orders; monitor schedule and cost.
