Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in McKinney, Fort Worth, and Plano, TX.

The role oversees multidisciplinary teams and client relationships, ensuring project success from conception through completion. The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, and 7+ years of relevant project management experience in water/wastewater.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing water and wastewater projects from conception through completion.
• Strong knowledge of design and construction practices for waterlines, storage tanks, pump stations, wastewater lines, lift stations, and force mains.
• Working knowledge of design and construction for water and wastewater systems, including treatment facilities.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
• Lead and mentor project teams in the preparation of engineering designs, reports, calculations, permitting documents, and presentations.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and client agreements.
• Develop responses to RFQs, solicitations, and bond applications for utility district and public sector clients.
• Attend client, municipal, and board meetings to present project progress and provide technical expertise.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, public agencies, and community leaders.
• Support the technical and professional development of team members.
• Contribute to company-wide design standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices.
