Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United States seeks a Project Manager Engineering to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts on AIS and GIS substation projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring technical excellence and cost efficiency. You will coordinate internal teams, customers, suppliers, and partners, drive schedules, manage risk, and deliver safe, reliable power systems for 69kV to 765kV scopes.

The role requires a B.S.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
8+ years in power systems or grid integration.
PE license or ability to obtain one.
Strong knowledge of NEC and ANSI/IEEE standards.
Experience with transmission HV substations and FACTS.
Background in EPC project environments.
US work authorization for Hitachi Energy.

Responsibilities

Lead the full engineering scope for AIS and GIS substations from concept to commissioning.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
Support proposal efforts with innovative, cost-effective solutions.
Define tasks, schedules, and quality metrics for projects.
Evaluate risks and opportunities to optimize outcomes.
Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Act as the primary technical interface for stakeholders.
Drive continuous process improvements across engineering functions.
