Job summary

AEP Service Corporation seeks a Project Engineer to act as the engineering lead for complex, multi-disciplinary generation projects. You will drive the design review process, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and support construction and commissioning to ensure safe, reliable delivery of power assets.

Role includes leading engineering work plans, providing progress updates, and traveling up to 25% of the time to facilities across the AEP footprint.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related engineering experience for Senior level or 8+ for Principal level with ABET-accredited degree.
• PE license encouraged and preferred; can be waived with EVP approval for non-ABET programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Engineering Work Plan.
• Lead the Engineering Design Review process and respond to RFIs.
• Coordinate design efforts with internal teams and external partners.
• Provide support during construction and facilitate project closeout.
• Travel to generation facilities as needed, including overnight trips.
