Job summary

Ballard Marine Construction, LLC seeks a Lead Project Engineer to bridge office and field, guiding preconstruction through closeout. You will drive scheduling, procurement, cost management, and client turnover while maintaining safety and quality across demanding marine and heavy civil projects.

You will oversee planning and execution, coordinate with owners and field teams, and own critical project decisions to ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive project engineering experience in heavy civil/marine construction.
• Experience with project controls: scheduling, budgeting, procurement, change management.
• Experience coordinating with owners, consultants, DOTs, and ports.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the operational bridge between office and field.
• Lead planning, procurement, scheduling, and cost management for projects.
• Coordinate client turnover and contract administration.
• Drive safe, efficient execution with field leadership.
• Collaborate with owners, engineers, and vendors to solve complex problems.
