Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Lead Project Engineer to serve as the engineering Customer Liaison for the HTF7000 project. You will lead technical interfaces with OEMs and customer teams, drive design changes, and coordinate cross‑functional engineers to ensure on‑time, within‑budget delivery of propulsion systems.

You will manage technical communications, present recommendations to executives, and guide program reviews while ensuring compliance with FAA rules and Honeywell

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in design, development and/or test of gas turbine engines, nacelle systems, engine control systems or other complex mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methods (e.g. Microsoft Project, Agile Scrum/Kanban, Earned Value Management System).

Responsibilities

• Manage technical communications and coordination meetings with OEM customers.
• Deliver clear technical recommendations to executive leadership and customers and support formal program reviews.
• Plan, schedule, and execute development and sustainment projects to meet scope, schedule, and cost targets.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership of cross‑functional engineering teams through design, analysis, test, certification, and production.
• Collaborate with aircraft OEMs to define requirements, resolve technical issues, and maintain alignment with program objectives.
• Drive root‑cause investigations and implement timely corrective actions for production and field issues.
• Identify program risks and opportunities and lead mitigation strategies to improve technical, schedule, or cost outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
