Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Project Engineer for the Battle Management Command & Control (BMC2) program. You will oversee cost, schedule, and technical performance of proprietary software and systems, collaborating with software and systems engineers to deliver IFATDS capabilities onsite in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

You will guide scope and budgets, contribute to proposals, and help advance product development lifecycles while working within a defense-focused, security-cleared

Qualifications

• Experience leading projects with scope, schedule, and budget responsibility.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners across programs.
• Experience preparing proposals and handling customer-facing activities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for events and external activities.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across programs, engineering teams, and functions to identify efficiencies and best practices.
• Manage multiple projects with scope, schedule, and budget, including Earned Value and Risk Management.
• Contribute to software/systems engineering tasks and product development lifecycles.
• Develop operational plans for IFATDS over a 2-year timeframe.
• Prepare estimates for new customers and capabilities and participate in RFP responses.
