Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a leader in aerospace defense, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Fort Wayne, IN to contribute to the AFATDS International program. You will implement new capabilities, fix bugs, and drive AI-driven enhancements within a Scrum environment.

You will work under a team lead in a fast-paced, on-site setting, coordinating tasks and aligning with sprint goals while potentially serving as a sub-team lead. A security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement AFATDS software capabilities for new and/or updated requirements.
• Identify, analyze, and remedy bugs in the existing AFATDS software.
• Path find future software capabilities involving AI toolsets and algorithms.
• Work with a technical mentor utilizing a defined project plan and milestones.
• Act as a Scrum Master when needed, facilitating agile processes and effective communication.
• Serve as a sub-team leader by coordinating technical tasks and ensuring program alignment.
