Job summary

Pratt & Whitney seeks a Project Engineering Chief to lead CMC development from R&D to low-rate production. You will guide a cross-functional team across CIPTs/SIPTs/IPMTs, ensure safety, and drive technical excellence within the CMC Enterprise.

Expect leadership in program execution, risk management, and collaboration with internal/external customers. Travel up to 25% may be required as projects progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 12 years of engineering experience or 10 years with an advanced degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
• Experience with Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) and leadership in hot-section parts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership: Partner with Pratt & Whitney teams to deliver CMC hot-section components.
• Develop and implement processes to enable rapid part manufacturing and material development.
• Resolve technical problems during design, development, and testing of CMCs and related projects.
• Mentor engineers and build global technical capabilities across CIPTs/IPTs.
• Foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and drive risk management and safety culture.
