Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Cypress, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) to provide technical support to operations and develop, maintain and improve manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery and lead time.

The role will develop and govern Production Technical Packages, ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental standards, and drive Right First Time manufacturing using RRPS, DMAIC and Systems Engineering tools.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or CMC Manufacturing experience.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with 1+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or CMC Manufacturing experience.
Master's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering.
JD/PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes, digital systems and/or methods of manufacture which meet safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time.
Maintain and/or govern Production Technical Packages (technical instructions, programs, SOPs, PFMEAs, etc) for all parts which clearly define the manufacturing process.
Ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm program.
Promote a culture of zero defects, ensure processes and methods are developed and deployed to support Right First Time manufacturing, and drive improvements with utilization of RRPS, DMAIC and Systems Engineering tools.
Work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for as required.
Responsible for self-development to meet the required competencies for the role and continuously seeking to expand knowledge and experience to increase effectiveness in undertaking existing and new activities.
