Job summary

System One is seeking a Project Engineer III in Savannah, GA to lead capital projects from concept through commissioning onsite. You will drive design scopes, cost estimates, and capital Justifications while coordinating internal teams and external contractors to meet safety, schedule, and budget targets.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 5+ years of manufacturing or roofing/building products experience, with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing or roofing/building products.
• Ability to manage as lead engineer across maintenance, operations, and process management.
• Proven track record delivering projects within budget, scope, and downtime constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute capital projects across lifecycle, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget.
• Define, design, and manage installations with detailed scopes and cost justifications.
• Provide technical analysis and recommend process/equipment modifications for improvements.
• Serve as primary technical resource for design, engineering, coordination, commissioning, and startup tasks.
• Manage internal maintenance and external contractors during project execution and support new product/systems development.
• Provide plant engineering support to Production and Maintenance and lead troubleshooting.
