Job summary

System One is seeking a Project Engineer III in Savannah, GA for contract work. The role focuses on maintaining excellence in developing, executing and controlling projects to achieve plant goals, with emphasis on safety and optimal performance.

The candidate will lead capital projects, manage design scopes, and coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure successful installation, commissioning, and startup across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing or roofing/building products.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and lead as project manager.
• Proven track record delivering projects within scope, schedule and budget.
• Knowledge of OSHA, general industry and environmental compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with contractors or internal maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Experience with CAD/ Autodesk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute capital projects across lifecycle within scope, schedule and budget.
• Define, design, and manage project installations with detailed scopes and justifications.
• Drive continuous improvement through analysis of new technologies and process modifications.
• Serve as primary technical resource for design, coordination, commissioning, and startup.
• Manage internal maintenance and external contractors during execution.
• Provide plant engineering support to Production and Maintenance.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards for project execution and safety.
