Job summary

GAF is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Savannah, GA site to lead the project engineering team and coordinate across Production, Maintenance, Technical Services, Supply Chain, R&D, and QA. You will drive capital planning, budgeting, and execution to deliver value for the residential business network.

The role requires extensive capital project experience, strong leadership, and the ability to influence Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years engineering experience in manufacturing setting.
• Direct team leadership experience required.
• Proven project management experience with successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize development, submission, and approval of annual and five-year capital plans; maintain site strategic roadmap.
• Oversee Site Capital Project Plan delivery, ensure objectives, budget, schedule; quarterly reviews with plant leadership.
• Maintain capital spending forecasts and asset tracking; perform annual asset auditing.
• Review AFCE requests for alignment with strategic direction and capital policies.
• Evaluate and design new equipment systems to minimize cost and improve safety and production.
• Develop business cases for large capital projects and support senior leadership in intake processes.
• Support new product development and equipment/materials development, installation, start-up.
• Maintain documentation controls for project drawings, MOC for equipment installs and modifications.
• Serve as site technical expert for equipment; collaborate to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
• Drive continuous improvement opportunities through capital project execution.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering

10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting

Experience managing and leading teams directly

Experience in Project Management with a demonstrated record of success
